Blueprints Programs
Blueprints
Blueprints are designed to provide material for local USFW groups to study as they meet each month.
The Theme is chosen by the USFWI Executive Committee and then the Program Editor searches for writers who can skillfully develop that theme. The theme for the 2009-2010 year is "My Cup runneth Over".
"Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies. Thou anointest my head with oil; My cup runneth over." - Psalm 23:5
"When the USFWI Board chose the theme for this edition of Blueprints, I immediately thought of the two most important women in my life. As a young child, I remember my mother encouraging me to memorize the 23rd Psalm. Over and over she had me repeat the words until I didn't need her help anymore. At the same time she taught me the meaning of the words. "Count Your Blessings" was one of my grandmother's favorite hymns. She was the song leader at Bridgeport Meeting and I can still hear her clear soprano voice as she shared her ministry of music. From both of them I learned to live life with an attitude of gratitude.
My life is so blessed, my cup truly does run over every minute of every day. One of my blessings as Program Editor is getting to read all the lessons ahead of time. We have wonderful women who have shared the many ways they have been blessed and I hope you will be as inspired as I am by the stories they have written.
"O God, I thank You for this day of life
for eyes to see the sky
for ears to hear the birds
for feet to walk amidst the trees
for hands to pick the flowers from the earth
for a sense of smell to breathe in the sweet perfumes of nature
for a mind to think about and appreciate the magic of everyday miracles
for a spirit to swell in joy at your might presence everywhere." –Marian Wright Edelman
