Blueprints

Blueprints are designed to provide material for local USFW groups to study as they meet each month.

"Then the Lord said to him, What is that in your hand?"  Exodus 4:2 NIV

A theme for the year is chosen by the USFWI Executive Committee and then the Program Editor searches for writers who can skillfully develop that theme. The theme for the 2008-2009 year is "WHAT IS THAT IN YOUR HAND?

"What is that in your hand? On the surface this is a simple question. We either have something in our hands or we don't, right? Be careful how you answer the question. As Moses found out, if God is the one doing the asking, we may well be holding on to something that is totally beyond our understanding and imagination. How does a simple shepherd's staff suddenly turn into a serpent and miraculously become a piece of wood again? This could only happen by God's touch and grace.

Our lessons for this year focus on the answers twelve Friends women gave to the question. They share how they found the extraordinary in the ordinary; how they were open to God's working in their lives and the lessons they learned from their experiences." (Taken from the Foreword of Blueprints, written by Sarah Lookabill, Program Editor)

The themes for this year are: A Blessing of Hands, Direction, Creativity, Guidance, Relationships, Values, Blessings, Opportunities, Works, Challenges, Ordinariness, and Comfort.
