- A world gathering of Quaker women held every 3 years where we become inspired by mission workers and Friends women around the globe.
Annual USFW Events
Three statewide gatherings are offered for ladies to come together on a Saturday for spiritual encouragement, mission news and fellowship. All women are welcome to attend. You do not have to be a USFW member to participate.
- Fall Retreat, held at Camp Quaker Heights near Eldora
- Spring Fling, held in a local Friends Church
- Celebration of Service, held in August during the Iowa Yearly Meeting Mission Conference at William Penn University, Oskaloosa or Camp Quaker Heights
Some Local USFW Service Projects
- Write letters to those serving in the military and to mission workers
- Send college student care boxes
- Make quilts for babies, homeless and elderly
- Encourage shut-ins
- Visit prisoners
- Deliver fruit baskets for the needy
- Organize mitten and hat tree
- Fill Christmas shoe boxes for missions
- Prepare health kits for disaster relief
- Ring Salvation Army bell
- Support shelter for abused women and children
