What USFW Offers

  • A world gathering of Quaker women held every 3 years where we become inspired by mission workers and Friends women around the globe. 

Annual USFW Events 

          Three statewide gatherings are offered for ladies to come together on a Saturday for spiritual encouragement, mission news and fellowship. All women are welcome to attend. You do not have to be a USFW member to participate.
  • Fall Retreat, held at Camp Quaker Heights near Eldora
  • Spring Fling, held in a local Friends Church
  • Celebration of Service, held in August during the Iowa Yearly Meeting Mission Conference at William Penn University, Oskaloosa or Camp Quaker Heights
  Some Local USFW Service Projects 
  • Write letters to those serving in the military and to mission workers
  • Send college student care boxes
  • Make quilts for babies, homeless and elderly
  • Encourage shut-ins
  • Visit prisoners
  • Deliver fruit baskets for the needy
  • Organize mitten and hat tree
  • Fill Christmas shoe boxes for missions
  • Prepare health kits for disaster relief
  • Ring Salvation Army bell
  • Support shelter for abused women and children
